The company's MES application will provide a variety of operational functionalities with an initial focus on Planning, Production Performance analysis, Quality Management, Maintenance, Product tracking & tracing, and Data Collection/ Acquisition. The MES system will therefore generate data on each functionality and allow for insights to improve their processes. At the same time, the company wants to unify its business and production processes in all these areas.
The Data Engineer has the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- review the existing infrastructure to collect the data, suggest improvements
- consolidate and cleanse data and structure it for use in analytics applications
- prepare data for analytical or operational uses.
- build data pipelines and bring together information from different source systems
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in data engineering
- Solid competence and experience in designing and developing cloud-based data analytical platforms, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of the data storage tools and ETL
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is favorable
- Experience with large data volumes, SQL performance tuning, and data migration is considered an advantage
- Programming skills (either C#, python, scala, spark)
- Experience in developing and maintaining production data pipelines and/or ML solutions
- Experience in BI & Reporting tools is a plus (example PowerBI, Tableau)
- Clear and apparent affinity with numbers, digitization, software usage
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to be self-organized, balanced and show initiative
